sorority question
by: XC33Is it really difficult for transfers to get bids from sororities. I would really like to rush but don't want to if it's going to be a total waste of time since I'm older. Are there junior quotas? If so what is the quota?

i personally wouldn't rush as a junior mainly because most of the sorority/frat events are mixers for freshman and sophomores and you would be in a pledge class with mainly freshmen. it's a good way to meet new people but i dont know if its worth it, especially because junior year and senior year are when people tend to drop their sorority/frat. there isnt a specific quota for each year i believe its more of whether or not you vibe with the girls

I rushed as a junior transfer and it is the best thing I did! There will be many other junior transfers rushing, and each house has an upper classman quota to fill so you will not be left without a bid. It gives you the opportunity to meet so many people that I wouldn't think i would have had otherwise as a transfer if I hadn't rushed. If you're thinking about trying it, go for it!!!

It's not awkward there are going to be plenty of junior transfers rushing. I knew a junior transfers that did fall 16 rush from kappa, adpi, and chio. There are gonna be transfers in every pledge class for every house. Idk exactly how many there are for sororities but I know there's a handful in every pledge class for frats. My pledge class had 8 transfers (including me) out of like 41 kids total

I don't think it's super awkward but their definitely is NOT 5-15 junior transfers in any of the top or even upper mid houses. Not sure what house your in?
