is it common to not receive a bid during fraternity recruitment week? can someone give me a rough idea percentage wise? can't find any information out there.

I'd say the reason you didn't get a bid could depend on a number of factors. Did you aim to high, only rush the top fraternities, and not get a bid? Did you go to parties and not talk to actives? Did you behave poorly or act weird at parties?

from someone who is in a "top house". Rush shouldn't be nerve wracking or awkward. If you're a regular guy, just go and hang out and be your normal self. Don't try to act bro-ey or sick, its easy to see through. Pick a house that fits you. Honestly, if you dont get a bid at a house, its just not for you. You want to go somewhere where you are mutually liked and accepted. It all works out in the end.
