should i drop?

by: Question

There is a group of girls in my sorority who are very cliquey and talk so much sheet about me behind my back. When I was still a pledge,I followed a lot of the girls in my sorority on Instagram, Twitter, and snapchat and all of the girls in the clique unfollowed me over the course of a week (very sketch). They don't know that I know, or think I notice, but I do. It messed with my head so much, I am thinking I should just drop. I don't want these girls to influence my happiness, but I am going to be seeing these girls until they or I graduate and that idea scares me. I can't go to exec because some of them are on exec or close friends with exec. Before I joined my sorority, I felt so confident in myself, so comfortable with who I was, very socially outgoing, and I considered myself to be very pretty. Since I joined my sorority I have felt more and more insecure, like something is wrong with me. I feel left out. I don't enjoy the same things my sisters enjoy. At recruitment, I could hold a conversation anyone at anytime. Now, I can't hold a conversation with most of my so-called "sisters" at all... Its like talking to a wall. It's so ironic because I have experienced the exact opposite of what my sorority promises for new members. Joining a sorority actually wrecked my individuality and self confidence. It is the WORST place to make friends. High school pettiness all over again, but so much worse.

Yeah after joining Greek life here I realized how much of a joke it was and how it isn't as chill as it first seemed. Just find who you're cool with in the house or just kick it with other people and make genuine friends outside of your sorority. I basically went inactive and I haven't really looked back since then

I also found Greek life was much different than what was presented during rush. I found much more genuine friends in other clubs and by dropping from my sorority I had time to get involved more on campus and ended up meeting my future roommates and closest friends that way.

So I was in a house for two years and I learned that when they regret bidding a girl they'll be shady to her and gossip and say mean things until she drops.

So if it's making you sad and ruining college for you it's best to just drop the house because they won't stop
