This is 100 percent correct. the top fraternities do events with A Phi, Theta, Kappa, DG, Chi O, Pi Phi, and occasionally G Phi.

Yeah, let's pretend I'm a frat guy, too. Guys don't come on this board to read or write comments about sororities. Nice try, though.

Bottom line - UCLA sororities are full of self-absorbed girls who want to feel like they're something special, even though they're not. They're all basically "blah". The "top" houses are just full of more catty and snotty girls, but definitely not better looking ones. Just look at their photos and look at them around campus. You wouldn't know who was in what house on looks alone.

Alpha Phi / Theta / Kappa (depends on personal preference)
DG (Plenty of people prefer DG over any of the top 3 though)
Chi O / Gamma Phi (depends on personal preference)
Pi Phi (kind of polarizing - you either love them or hate them)
ADPi / KD (take your pick)
AChiO
Tridelt

If you're dumb enough to rush, I'd just see which of the girls you like best. There really isn't a ranking at UCLA. They're all kind of the same. And, the "connections" don't help you get a job. Your grades help you get a job.

The Fall 2013 Pledge classes make it more like this:

Top Middle (Do stuff with top frats)- DG, Theta, ADPi, Gamma Phi
Lower Middle- Pi Phi, Chi O
Bottom- A Chi O, KD, Tri Delt

honestly, there are no top middle or bottom tiers. each sisterhood has something different to offer. dont listen to the rankings because honestly each sorority is pretty much the same. All have an amazing sisterhood to offer. find the place where you fit best! its about the friends and sisters you find, not the "ranking" of the sorority.

Great comment, so true. You have to go through rush looking for the house that best fits you and your interests. Don't try to fit into a house just because of its reputation. Have fun, you'll meet some lifelong friendships no matter what house you choose.

TOP: pros and cons
Kappa (very attractive PC11 but no sisterhood), Theta (fun but on the decline after PC11), APhi ("hot blondes" but very superficial), ChiO (chill/involved but have some not so hot girls), DG (seems a little wild)

Mid:
GPhi, PiPhi, ADPi

Bottom:
KD, AChiO, DDD

This isn't USC Panhellenic. Look at USC's AXO pics and then compare them to the "top tier" houses at UCLA. Pretty much the same.

If you decide to rush, you should choose a house based on personality, because the "hotness" (or lack thereof) is the same between all of the houses.

Again, this isn't USC, where there's a clearer distinction.

Honestly, you'll be able to tell what the better houses are during recruitment - the biggest differentiator is the quality of conversations, and you'll get that vibe right away. The rankings above aren't too different from each other or my own opinion, but it'd be a mistake to pick a "higher-ranked" chapter over a house you like better during recruitment.

UCLA is about hard-working, smart kids who are going to a top state school. You get a fair amount of awkward kids. But you also get a lot of amazing women, and they are all over the Greek system.

Make sure to get into deeper conversations, and make it clear what you are looking for in your college experience and your sorority. Every sorority has a variety of women (from partyiers to non-drinkers, from athletes to engineers, etc.), but some chapters are somewhat more supportive of certain lifestyle choices than others.

Who cares? It's UCLA for christ's sake! Not exactly known for beautiful girls. Alpha Phi would be lower tier at a school like USC or any of the SEC schools. Seriously, choose a house for fit, because "hotness" doesn't exist in this greek system.

THIS^, although I would substitute Alpha phi with DG.
