i joined the wrong frat (help)

Just found this website and i honestly have nowhere else to turn to. since i can’t ask anyone in my fraternity or greek life for it will be really awkward for me. I’ll write this as brief as possible but i rushed my first quarter last year having no idea what any frats were like. I ended up just choosing sigma chi because they look cool. the brotherhood is horrible there are so many friend groups within. When i joined i had no clue the parties end at like 10pm since we are located next to all the apartments at dorms. I just don’t really like my whole situation in this fraternity. btw if you are reading this and are thinking about rushing sigma chi it’s all a front they do in the beginning for rush week its horrible how they trick these kids into joining. Go to a bunch of houses and have real conversations with guys.

My main question is, if i drop can i rush another fraternity?

Isn't it possible to be removed from the national fraternity thus freeing one from obligations as an initiate of fraternity?

just drop, i already know kids who did the exact same thing. I mostly know kids that went through SAE and realize what they do to girls is disgusting

once youre initiated you cant join another house but i guess you can just not tell anybody during winter rush and hope no one finds out

I'm wondering the same thing for a different house, can anyone help out with this? Is it still possible to rush another house ?

Once you are initiated into a fraternity you can not initiate into another. That is why've it is a lifetime commitment. IF you didn't like it then you should have dropped during pledgeship

Lhonestly if someone officially resigns from a house, then would another house even care at Ucla? That person should be fine to rush again and acquire bids as it's legal to NIC policy

I joined and left the most embarrassing fraternity at UCLA Sigma Nu all the guys are total losers
