how do i get a bid into zbt or lambda

it looks like zbt and lambda are top houses here. what can i do to secure a bid from one of these houses in the winter and what are these houses actually like?

Like any fraternity you must rush. Lambda Chi is concensus #1 fraternity at UCLA and ZBT is #2 in most rankings so they will have the highest standards. If you are not considered "hot" that could be a major factor as they both have the hottest guys especially Lambda Chi, besides that of course personality and family wealth could be important.
