how do i get a bid into zbt or lambda

it looks like zbt and lambda are top houses here. what can i do to secure a bid from one of these houses in the winter and what are these houses actually like?

Just be one of the hottest guys on campus with a fantastic personality and a Lambda Chi or ZBT might give you a bid

Be yourself and self confidant. Self confidant people usually have model good looks, athletic, a vibrant personality, and highly intelligent. If you are not attractive, overweight, socially awkward, dull you probably also are not self confident and would be a better fit at a fraternity like Sigma Nu.

Compare all the top and upper middle tier fraternities like I did. Go to Lambda Chi, ZBT, SAE,SX,Sig Ep. I received bids from all of those fraternities but knew in my mind Lambda Chi Alpha was in a class by itself. Just go see where you fit in best, I know Lambda Chi is now the hardest fraternity to receive a bid from so plan on having alternatives.

it all depends on the frat, "usually" the higher the dues the more events the frat throw. one should not really worry too much about dues, since most fraternities give special accommodations to people in difficult financial situation

What do you mean by special accommodations? Lower dues depending on financial situation or just payment plans?

@mani im in a sorority so if im wrong someone please correct me. i have heard of both, usually the brothers will not drop someone because they literally cannot pay for it. i even heard stories where people dont even pay dues because they can't

Be yourself you can't change yourself right before rush ajdbdoong so would be a disservice to you and the house. Trust me we have dropped people for misrepresenting themselves during rush but weren't a good fit during the pledge process which is long. (I'm Not a zbt or lambda). Idk what the above comments are about special accommodations but that doesn't really exist. Top houses cost more for a reason either because 1. The house is nice or 2. They have a lot of social events. Usually accommodations are in payment plans where instead of paying the quarter dues at once it's month to month. Most houses have scholarships but they don't knock much off. The average yearly live out dues is a little over 2,000. And live in is around 8-12k depending if there is a private chef.

You should let it come naturally. There is no secret formula to getting a bid from them or any frat for that matter. Another thing with winter rush is a lot of the rushees are friends with actives so it may be harder to get a bid if you don't know someone in the house already.

ZBT and Lambda Chi Alpha have leap frogged SX,SAE and SIG EP into the #1 Lambda Chi and #2 ZBT positions. They did this because SX,SAE,SIG EP PC have been very sketch and their reputations have suffered greatly. Lambda Chi and ZBT have been attracting the best looking guys with the best personalities and bodies. If you are not "hot", athletic and have a great personality it could.be difficult getting a bid at either and you might have to settle for a lower tier

After getting bids from ZBT, SX,SAE,SIG EP and LXA the decision was very easy. KAMBDA CHI IS THE BEST FRATERNITY AT UCLA!
