If you are a PNM going through recruitment, YOU SHOULD IGNORE THE SO-CALLED RANKINGS! Go through recruitment, meet the sisters at each house and decide for yourself where you fit the best!!! All the houses at UCLA are strong. All the houses matter. They simply have different personalities -- partiers, studiers, strong sisterhood, athletes, down to earth, name brand, etc. Find your place.
If you really want to learn about recruitment, go to Greekrank for Berkeley and read the after-rush posts there from girls there who just pledged or dropped out. That will give you a better sense of how recruitment works and what to expect.
Do yourself a favor and get off this site -- it will only make you confused and/or feel bad. Who even knows who's doing the "rankings" and what their criteria is?
Better to be Greek, than not Greek. You're obviously smart and talented if you got into UCLA -- trust yourself!

I'm going through rush right now and don't see the hype surrounding KKG. I was expecting drop dead gorgeous girls with amazing personalities after reading these posts. This site focuses too much on past reputations and not enough on current performance. Kappa didn't give the impression of a strong sisterhood compared to the other top houses and didn't blow me away with looks either. These rankings need a change ASAP.

Yeah i agree with Freshman PNM, there is a lot of hype for KKG but so many girls can see through it and are looking for other houses. From what I heard a TON of girls want Theta& DG. Everyone knows the sisterhoods of APHI and KKG are weak and both freshman and transfers can see that believe me!! Chi O has really impressed a lot of girls too.

I am seeing lots of interest in Alpha Phi and Theta. Then Kappa and DG. Most pnm would take any of those.

To the person who responded to this post: any PNM who would happily take a bid from any of those houses would be doing it for the wrong reasons because each of the top houses has a completely different personality and sisterhood. It seems to me that Theta and DG are really impressing fellow PNMs because they are genuinely excited for recruitment and have a strong sisterhood while still being a top house. People on here will hate my ranking because they are so used to putting Kappa on top and will scream it's a "whiny Theta" but however impressive Kappa used to be isn't showing through this rush process. Ranks should be based off of overall looks, personality, reputation, and sisterhood instead of handing KKG the top spot because of a handful of hot girls. With new members joining every year, rankings should be just as subject to change.
