Having been a part of sorority life at UCLA, I don't think classifying as upper or lower rank is that helpful for recruitment decisions. If you're going to go through recruitment, go in with an open mind and join the house that you feel most comfortable in and are able to find girls that you would like to have as friends. Don't be discouraged to preference a house with a "lower ranking" if you really liked it, and don't hesitate to preference a "top house" if you really liked it but fear you're not good enough to be in a top house. If you liked the house and the house liked you, you'll be invited back! You need to go with your gut and decide for yourself which house is best for you.

Wish that was the truth "letting you know". Panhellenic says in orientation to expect to get your third choice and you will be unhappy for a couple of weeks but you will get used to it. Really sad reflection of rush at UCLA. Panhellenic administrators are biased and should be replaced.
