by:

I was thinking about rushing PIKE or Phi Sig Spring 2014 and I was wondering your opinions on both? How much do they cost to be in?

Both suck sigma nu all the way. We play dungeons and dragons all the time. We also have the biggest Mexican brotherhood. We have drawing contest every Saturday night too.

Make sure you check out EVERY house on campus. A lot of these rankings are just other fraternities giving bad scores to each other and it completely alters what your actual prospective is on the fraternity before you even go in. To be honest with you some of the fraternities on here with the lower scores are actually upper tier.

I would say just walk up to some guys and I'm sure that they would be happy to talk to you about this. Definitely try to attend the different rush events! It'll give you an idea to where you feel the most comfortable.

The only people who thinks PIKE is a great fraternity are PIKES! They rush such a large class that more than half of them don't even know each other! I have asked a PIKE friend about another PIKE friend and they both said they don't know each other! They are the newest fraternity on campus so I don't even know why they think so highly of themselves. The newest fraternity have less time to develop (less accomplishments) like the other fraternities so PIKE is def not number 1. Phi Sig is also not the top house but they have a great brotherhood and their house have a pool. If you want a top house rush Pikapp or Phi Tau. I would say Sigep too but they're not on campus anymore.

As a current Greek member, my best advice is to go to both fraternity's rush events and decide which house fits you best, and the only way to do that is to enter rush with an open mind.

Personally, I would only join a chapter that has a fraternity house. Having a fraternity house offers a completely different experience than not having a house. It is a CRUCIAL element to your experience as a fraternity member, because your fraternity house is the heart and soul of your operations, aside from the members themselves. I wouldn't want to miss out on all the fun and shenanigans that a house has to offer by joining a chapter that doesn't have a house. PIKE does not have a house. Phi Sig has a house on Frat Row just off the CSUF campus. That being said, from my personal experience as a Greek member, if you had to choose between the two I'd go Phi Sig. Not to mention, I hear Phi Sig's brotherhood is stronger than PIKE's, which is really important.

The fact that this forum is between PIKE and Phi Sig is hilarious. Both are awful so it doesn't really matter, but you should join Pike they accept anyone and everyone. Also their table in the TSU is pretty sick...
