can i re rush??
by: QuestionIf I rushed a sorority this year and got initiated in it but dropped, can I re rush a different sorority next year? I got an email saying I would be removed from the international membership records.

If you rushed this semester, you probably weren’t initiated yet- that mini initiation that you go through when you first get a bid is NOT initiation. So I would drop now before you actually get initiated because yeah, you can re rush. Since you accepted a bid, it might be for another year... which could really be 2 years since we usually all don’t rush in spring. I would ask someone on Panhellenic.

Both these posters are correct. If you have been initiated, you are done. You can not rush again. But it, as the 2nd poster said, you only went through the pledging ceremony, then as long as your drop before you go through the initiation ceremony, you can re-rush. You may have to wait until the next formal recruitment though.
