Does a 25 year old sophomore have a chance to get a bid?

Are you still an undergrad? Only undergrads are allowed in sorority. You could get a bid somewhere but in all honesty, probably not a top house. Also, I found that a lot of older girls that rushed my sorority ended up dropping because they felt that sororities here on campus are too “catty.” I won’t lie, Greek life here is pretty childish

Life will slap a lot of these people into reality once they are about to graduate

Do it! Don’t listen to the first comment they sound egotistical and stupid af. As long as you’re not married or have kids and are an undergrad you can go through the recruitment process. It would be more beneficial if you are an undergrad staying for another year or so that way you’re not up and graduating all of a sudden in the spring. This way you can really experience sisterhood

.... egotistical? I don’t think you understood the point and I don’t think you know what egotistical means LOL. It’s true, sorority life is hella drama here and all girls care about is frats, parties, and gossip. There is no such thing as “sisterhood” anymore. The only sororities you could find a genuine sisterhood at CSUF (in my opinion) is SK and DZ, where the girls are actual sweethearts.

what about fraternities? Like if your 25,26 but your a cool guy and can hold a conversation could you get a bid from a top house or is the age-gap just too much/too weird? Also are there other people older than 22 in Greek life or is it just an anomaly?

If you’re 25-26 trying to join a fraternity/sorority you should reevaluate your priorities.

You are never too old to rush! As long as you are an undergrad and staying for at least a year or two you’re fine!

By: don’t worry
