german student semester abroad fraternity
by: german guyI will spend my semester abroad at CSUF and I am trying to decide whether to stay in an apartment or maybe take the chance to live in a fraternity. My question is now if it is possible to live in an fraternity if I am staying just for one semester or wouldn´t that be a problem? Also(as we don´t have things like fraternities and sororities here in Germany, I don´t know that much about the "lifestyle"), how does that work with studying. Will there be enough time to study and partying at the same time? I´ve heard that sometimes you have to put a lot of work into it so I am not sure how much and if there is still enough time for other things (travelling, studying, sports etc.). I would be thankful if any of you could give me a quick insight in the life of a frat. Thanks so much guys! (btw sorry if my english is bad)

If you are only here for a semester or a full year even I wouldn't reccomend joining a fraternity. All of the fraternities make you go through an associate program for almost a full semester until you become an active. Also they are looking for life long brothers not someone who is going to leave after a semester. Join a club and enjoy your time here
