I want to rush in the fall but i have a 2.4 gpa, i know its really bad I just messed up last semester and made freshman mistakes but I've gotten it together now. i know the minimum is 2.5 but do they ever make exceptions?

If youre talking about fraternities, then yes most will give you that exception granted that you get your grades up during your associate membership period or the semester after that.

For sororities, it honestly depends. Some sororities will make exceptions for you if they see that your a freshman because it happens all the time to new comers. It depends on the sorority and their specific leniancies toward the matters but as a whole, all sororities take academics very seriously so I'd say rush and give it a shot, but make an effort to take grades more seriously in the future

If you're rushing a sorority, there is a minimum to go through the recruitment process- doesn't matter what chapter. After that chapters have their own minimum for active members.
