Alpha Delta Pi - ΑΔΠ Sorority at California State University, Fullerton - CSUF 2.0 adpi’s apology wasn’t a REAL apology at all... all i see is adpi trying to cover their tracks... maybe own up to what you did and actually say it was wrong instead of starting an apology with “unintended” harm? you are not taking accountability for your actions when you try explain how everything adpi did was perfectly normal and just following a trend from before.. you knew how many girls you wanted. you knew you weren’t going to accept as many girls as you would in formal recruitment. and you knew you were only able to accept less than a quarter of the girls who went to pref. yet you still decided to pref that many girls and that is simply not justifiable. not to mention DELETING COMMENTS?? posting an insincere apology and deleting the comment about the active who was extremely insensitive by saying “looks like someone didn’t get a bid from adpi” and “it’s not that deep” SMH since y’all like apologizing now, how about taking accountability for alll of that?? the main takeaway; you can’t apologize and justify everything you did as right bc that is not an apology, it’s just adpi trying to cover their tracks.. fakest sorority on this campus and to see it straight from their executive board... embarrassing

Simple math just shows adpi knew it was much harder to get a bid. If research and data is in play you should know adpi was a popular choice this semester. We recognize your frustration and want to address rumors that have circulated. This year's recruitment was unprecedented. CSUF Panhellenic voted to utilize a COB (continuous open bidding) recruitment format that is normally utilized to add 10+ women to chapters in a casual setting rather than a structured primary recruitment format which is designed to add 40+ women to chapters, which is normally used in the fall semesters. A structured format encourages all women interested in joining a sorority on campus to partake in the process, giving them the opportunity to meet every chapter and equally dividing every PNM amongst all six chapters, instead of only allowing chapters to fill their vacant spots which was the case for fall 2020. During this COB process, Alpha Delta Pi met over 300 women who had signed up to participate via ADPI's recruitment interest survey. We then started offering invitation only events to get closer and closer to our allotted 46 new members. We recognize that while our intentions were to give all women a fair and equal opportunity during the recruitment process, inviting over 100 women to our preference ceremony has unintentionally caused harm within our community. For that we sincerely apologize. Preference round in a structured format allows PNMs to only visit 2 chapters. During this year's COB PNMs were able to visit up to 6 chapters. Our chapter, with the help of our international organization, chose to follow the data from the previous 3 recruitments as it relates to invitations to our invite only events. Over the last 3 years, we have invited roughly 100 women to our preference parties and about 70 women have accepted. We followed the same standards knowing women had the opportunity to visit more than the traditional 2 chapters. Without the help of a campus wide governing body to manage the PNM process, every chapter had no option but to guess how many PNMs would choose to go to more than one house. ADPI MOVING FORWARD- As we take accountability for our mistakes during the fall 2020 COB process, we will continue to reflect on our opportunities for growth in this space both as a chapter and a panhellenic community. We have met many amazing women who we continue to reach out to and build genuine friendships with. We pledge to work with and encourage CSUF Panhellenic to take a more active role in the recruitment process in the spring 2021 semester as the organizers and leaders of all 6 chapters on the CSUF campus. My little sister is in a sorority here and was telling me about this incident. Be kind. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Stop trying to bring people down. Honestly, every Panhellenic woman on this site should be ashamed. In the wake of social injustice happening right now, bullying and women being treated poorly ... try being kind... that’s what’s wrong with this works right now. Stop shaming this chapter for the mistakes they made. They’re literally saying they made a mistake. Accept that for what it is and stop tearing this chapter down. Stop tearing down AXO for alleged ghosting or gamma phi for being fake. Just be better women. Show the students at CSUF that Greek women have some class.

first of all, axo DID ghost girls. cut it with the “alleged”. they ghosted every single girl who didn’t get a bid from them. and gphi was not any better when it came to being nice to pnms they did not want. that’s not tearing ppl down, it’s holding them accountable. this apology does make it seem like it was “a mistake” when in reality, they clearly never took accountability for what happened. holding people accountable is necessary.

Y’all attacked them for not owning up to their mistake. They post an apology and now you’re saying it’s not really them and not enough. Of course it’s them. That letter is specific and has all the processes in place. Their nationals probably helped them write this to address all the terrible people on here giving them crap. Also, they must have done something right, only two chapters made total. Had more chapters given more women a chance, y’all would have made total too. Their post says their nationals helped them with numbers. They were following directions from their alums/advisors. Y’all are acting like because PNMs went to Adpi they missed out on Greek life. There are still plenty of spots in other chapters, just not ADPI. If everyone wants to join a sorority so bad, go visit the other 4 chapters that still have bids to give.

Whether it was really the exec board or just an active, the “apology” didn’t even acknowledge that what they did was wrong without trying to back pedal. They simply attempted to justify everything that happened. SOMEHOW it is not obvious enough to the response above that adpi met their quota because they prefed too many girls and left the majority without bids. The other chapters did the right thing and prefed the girls they wanted to give the majority of their bids to. I cannot believe girls in adpi STILL think that they did nothing wrong. Secondly, recruitment is over and the other chapters do not have bids to give. I know that is obvious but apparently some people think otherwise. ^^^^ It is upsetting to me that adpi is so much more fake than what they appear to be during recruitment, and you girls just keep in representing those true colors... Yikes...

4 chapters are still recruiting. Get your facts straight. Recruitment isn’t over. There was never a real recruitment. It’s all COB. Every chapter is allowed to recruit to total.

Yes, ADPi made PNMs feel included but they should have been honest with who they truly wanted at Preference night. It’s Preference night, not another informational zoom meeting. By Pref., the sorority should have an idea of who they potentially wanted. Inviting 100+ people just shows you did not really care about the process and were only hoping to meet your number. Like your a sorority that is kind of “popular” there was no need to do that, if anything Delta Zeta should have done that.
