Alpha Delta Pi - ΑΔΠ Sorority at California State University, Fullerton - CSUF 2.0 adpi’s apology wasn’t a REAL apology at all... all i see is adpi trying to cover their tracks... maybe own up to what you did and actually say it was wrong instead of starting an apology with “unintended” harm? you are not taking accountability for your actions when you try explain how everything adpi did was perfectly normal and just following a trend from before.. you knew how many girls you wanted. you knew you weren’t going to accept as many girls as you would in formal recruitment. and you knew you were only able to accept less than a quarter of the girls who went to pref. yet you still decided to pref that many girls and that is simply not justifiable. not to mention DELETING COMMENTS?? posting an insincere apology and deleting the comment about the active who was extremely insensitive by saying “looks like someone didn’t get a bid from adpi” and “it’s not that deep” SMH since y’all like apologizing now, how about taking accountability for alll of that?? the main takeaway; you can’t apologize and justify everything you did as right bc that is not an apology, it’s just adpi trying to cover their tracks.. fakest sorority on this campus and to see it straight from their executive board... embarrassing

Alpha Delta Pi - ΑΔΠ Sorority at California State University, Fullerton - CSUF 3.4 I honestly feel so bad for the girls that didn’t end up with bids. They just spent months of their time dedicating themselves thinking that they were gonna find their home and ended up without one and it’s just so unfortunate. To the person who said it’s not that deep: glad to know it worked out just fine for you. maybe try showing some compassion since it’s baffling to me how you got a bid over 70 other girls who probably deserved it more and accepted their rejection with a lot more grace than you’re showing.

Alpha Delta Pi - ΑΔΠ Sorority at California State University, Fullerton - CSUF 2.4 100 girls invited to pref and 70 getting a bid means you have a 70% chance of getting a bid. 154 girls with 46 bids means they only had a 29% chance of getting a bid whether they accepted it or not. Simple math just shows adpi knew it was much harder to get a bid. If research and data is in play you should know adpi was a popular choice this semester. Also how about addressing the fact adpi went back online to INTENTIONALLY hide how many tickets were shown to pnms? The actions of the members of ADPI do reflect on the organization as a whole. They are the girls wearing your letters and representing themselves to society.

Alpha Delta Pi - ΑΔΠ Sorority at California State University, Fullerton - CSUF 3.0 The first step in righting wrongs is to acknowledge them. Alpha Delta Pi acknowledges the unintended harm we have caused women who were invited to our preference ceremony and were not extended a bid into our chapter. We recognize your frustration and want to address rumors that have circulated. This year's recruitment was unprecedented. CSUF Panhellenic voted to utilize a COB (continuous open bidding) recruitment format that is normally utilized to add 10+ women to chapters in a casual setting rather than a structured primary recruitment format which is designed to add 40+ women to chapters, which is normally used in the fall semesters. A structured format encourages all women interested in joining a sorority on campus to partake in the process, giving them the opportunity to meet every chapter and equally dividing every PNM amongst all six chapters, instead of only allowing chapters to fill their vacant spots which was the case for fall 2020. During this COB process, Alpha Delta Pi met over 300 women who had signed up to participate via ADPI's recruitment interest survey. We then started offering invitation only events to get closer and closer to our allotted 46 new members. We recognize that while our intentions were to give all women a fair and equal opportunity during the recruitment process, inviting over 100 women to our preference ceremony has unintentionally caused harm within our community. For that we sincerely apologize. Preference round in a structured format allows PNMs to only visit 2 chapters. During this year's COB PNMs were able to visit up to 6 chapters. Our chapter, with the help of our international organization, chose to follow the data from the previous 3 recruitments as it relates to invitations to our invite only events. Over the last 3 years, we have invited roughly 100 women to our preference parties and about 70 women have accepted. We followed the same standards knowing women had the opportunity to visit more than the traditional 2 chapters. Without the help of a campus wide governing body to manage the PNM process, every chapter had no option but to guess how many PNMs would choose to go to more than one house. ADPI MOVING FORWARD- As we take accountability for our mistakes during the fall 2020 COB process, we will continue to reflect on our opportunities for growth in this space both as a chapter and a panhellenic community. We have met many amazing women who we continue to reach out to and build genuine friendships with. We pledge to work with and encourage CSUF Panhellenic to take a more active role in the recruitment process in the spring 2021 semester as the organizers and leaders of all 6 chapters on the CSUF campus. We wish everyone a successful and healthy semester. Sincerely, ADPI's Executive Board Note: The scoring on this comment does not reflect our sisterhood or organization rather they were a requirement to post on this platform and should be disregarded.

Alpha Delta Pi - ΑΔΠ Sorority at California State University, Fullerton - CSUF 3.9 half of these comments are ppl saying adpi had too many women attend their preference round... y'all... during a regular in person recruitment every sorority prefs 100+ girls depending on Panhellenic numbers... it's literally the same. I went to a couple preferences and didn't find any of this shady?? maybe bc i went through recruitment last year in person.

pref is the third day before you find out the house you get into no sorority prefs over 100+ in person maybe a maximum of 50-70? but not 100 especially at a cal state, now if it was a different school where sororities are popular then that would be a different story

2    By: lolSep 15, 2020 4:26:33 PM

this post is so biased lmao. formal recruitment uses a specific system that correlates with the amount of girls rushing. because of the system it would give chapters a max amount of girls that can be invited back each round and it changes depending. because this was COB and that didn’t apply, ADPi CHOSE to lead 70 girls on knowing that there wasn’t a chance for them to get a bid. ya’ll need to find a way to own up to this and extend more bids because it truly isn’t fair to those pnms.

^^^ someone’s mad they didn’t get a bid. damn this generation is so sensitive. this post is right, formal recruitment would’ve been the same exact way. it’s not that deep lmao

Alpha Delta Pi - ΑΔΠ Sorority at California State University, Fullerton - CSUF 2.4 the only reason why adpi preffed over a hundred girls is so they could get good reviews on here and have pnms speak highly of the house to there friends cause they all thought they got in. lol i hope everyone sees this. thats even more fake then axo or gphi.

Alpha Delta Pi - ΑΔΠ Sorority at California State University, Fullerton - CSUF 3.0 someone from adpi said AND I QUOTE “people on here complain about how axo & gphi made girls feel excluded, yet when adpi tries to include all pnms to give everyone an equal chance then y'all get mad” HOLY SH|T did you guys not pref 100+ girls and only accept 40? that is not giving all pnms an equal chance, it’s letting too many girls go without bids because you’re insecure about your numbers.

Alpha Delta Pi - ΑΔΠ Sorority at California State University, Fullerton - CSUF 3.0 someone said they preffed 100+ girls because they were insecure about their numbers and i feel like it should be emphasized here. you guys had all these pnms say you were top/leave great reviews when you guys were JUST considered mid (still are after that). please do better if you want to raise your ranks because that is not how you do it. too many girls ended with no bid this semester

Alpha Delta Pi - ΑΔΠ Sorority at California State University, Fullerton - CSUF 3.9 We want sororities to be honest with their recruitment and make PNMs feel included. Yes, ADPi made PNMs feel included but they should have been honest with who they truly wanted at Preference night. It’s Preference night, not another informational zoom meeting. By Pref., the sorority should have an idea of who they potentially wanted. Inviting 100+ people just shows you did not really care about the process and were only hoping to meet your number. Like your a sorority that is kind of “popular” there was no need to do that, if anything Delta Zeta should have done that.
