How much does it cost to be in a soroity on average? One girl told me her dues were only like 250??

First semester will be the most expensive. Back in the day when I was a freshman, my spring dues were easily over $1000. They do go down over time though.

Dues for your first semester are the most expensive mostly due to national fees and fees that are due yearly. From what I remember first semester dues run from $450-700 here. After that they run from $250-600 a semester. It depends on the sorority.

During recruitment, you would get a dues breakdown for each chapter so you would know going in what each one costs and whether it would be doable for you.
