sorority recruitment
by: Upper classmanI'm considering going through Fall recruitment because I really want to be in a sorority. My problem is that I don't want to be cut because I am too old and end up disappointed at the end of the week. Does anyone have advice for older girls wanting to rush? Is it worth it or do most end up without bids?
#1 by: it depends
Upperclassmen (juniors and seniors) don't count towards quota, so they could technically bid as many as they want, however it could be difficult because not only do they want their members to get as much out of it, they want to get as much out of their members. There's no harm in going through recruitment though.

From what I've seen it IS harder to rush as a junior but it's also one of those things that you won't know if you don't try!! I would befriend as many sorority girls as possibly and go through rush and just express that you know you're older but this is something you really want and just explain where you're at! As long as you have a great personality, great grades and won't mind spending a lot of time with incoming freshman, I think there's absolutely a chance!!
