sorority fall rush

I know no one at texas tech except for a soccer player and she didnt even rush. do i have to know girls to get into a semi-good house?? do i also HAVE to have recommendations?? how difficult is rush at tech overall

If you want any chances at getting into a middle tier or top tier you have to have recommendations for alumni. It's good to know people, but if you don't then it's not the end of the world

Good grades and being personable through rush goes the longest ways, it would help if you had connections in the houses but it definitely won't hurt you at all if you don't! However not having a rec letter can hurt you, I wouldn't stress about it, you have plenty of time to find them, I even had a woman write one of mine after talking to her at the grocery store! It helps if they're people who know you, but you do what you have to and it's not a big deal if you don't have amazing rec letters as long as you have them!
