Additional bids given on bid day or the few days after. If a sorority doesn't make quota because not enough girls accepted bids from this sorority then they invite girls they first rejected to have enough girls

Why would someone accept a snap hid if sorority didn't initially want them? I think I would rather just go thru rush again.

It's not that they didn't initially want them...recruitment is hectic, many quality girls fall through the cracks because the chapters are required to cut a certain number each night without actually getting to know the women as well as they'd like to. If a chapter has the opportunity to snap someone, and they do, it's because they want you....sometimes it's meant to be that way and if a girl wants the bid, why not take it?

Not exactly. A snap bid is when someone from the chapter/someone from panhellenic calls and offers a bid to a girl who the chapter wants to offer a bid to (possibly she dropped out of recruitment). Snap bids are because the chapter didn't make quota during primary bid matching, which can happen to even strong recruiting chapters because of how strictly they have to cut (based on their release figures). But most importantly, a snap bid occurs BEFORE bids are distributed.

ANY other bid offered AFTER bids have been distributed is what's called a COB (Continuous Open Bid).
