The funny thing is that they will continue to recruit all year - you may not have been the right fit for them as initial founding members (it is A LOT of work), but who's to say they wouldn't have reconsidered in the spring or fall after they've gotten their bearings? Unfortunately, you've come on here, basically revealed who you and the other 40 women are, and frankly why would they want someone like that in their sisterhood? You've basically just blackballed yourself and every other member of your service sorority from future consideration. Time to move on...and if you think Phi Mu won't get the scoop when they arrive, you are wrong. Well done.

You wanna know why you didn't get a bid? Because you couldn't be a part of their sisterhood. You don't fit their values. Their public creed says it all, "without bitterness or defeat we may encounter misfortune and with humility meet success". Obviously they saw that, and good for them for realizing that you weren't the kind of girl they were looking for.

I read the original thread, and yes, there were some defensive AXiD alumnae...hard to blame them when their organization was being attacked for something that literally every single chapter on campus does (choose members they believe are right for them). Bitter though? Notsomuch. What do they have to be bitter about? They were selected to colonize over several other NPC sororities who really wanted to be on this campus, so I'd say they have nothing to be bitter about at all.

I heard they started with 450 girls and ended up with only 130 so... it was pretty selective. the 40+ girls they cut were JUST the ones they cut after pref night. I got cut too and they told me the same thing but I got over it. Maybe they're doing me a favor and keeping me from getting in over my head.

Keep in mind, you can try again next semester. Let them get their bearings and figure things out. It sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders.

Don't think phi mu has anything to worry about as long as they take a lesson from you on how you reply to questions. I'm sure they are way classier then you, AXID has shown to be and won't talk down to those with real questions.
