AXiD will do great - they've already been given a warm welcome by Tech Panhellenic and believe it or not, there are TONS of quality women at Tech who are not already Greek for one reason or another that will make AXiD into something wonderful. Many were cut for whatever reason, others dropped, and some never even went through recruitment. There is plenty of room on campus for another quality sorority - it's up to everyone to pull together and make them a success. Other major universities have had new sororities colonize and become successful. Will they be considered "top tier" overnight? No, because Tech is too entrenched in that thinking, and many are unwilling to accept that the strength of the community comes from supporting each other and not tearing each other down...but they will recruit some amazing women & the opportunity to be a founding sister will be a big draw for some strong leaders who haven't yet found their Greek home. Sisterhood is about the girls in the chapter bonding and supporting each other through good times and bad during the college years. It's a great way to make friends. In addition, it is a LIFETIME sisterhood. I know you're feeling conflicted right now, but begin in a sorority should have NOTHING to do with what the other chapters think of yours. If you want to have the Greek experience, then AXiD is a legitimate way to get there.

Most likely it will be ranked last on Green Rank for a while. Who cares. If you ant to be Greek, go through AXiD recruitment this week. If you decide you don't like it...drop. But if you don't try, you are missing on an important opportunity.
