rho gammas

by: ???

I was just curious how much communication the rho gammas actually have with their houses still, they had told us that we're completely safe and they have zero communication but it still makes me nervous to share with them my interests in specific houses!

Talk to them honestly. They are there to help. They were PNM's once and remember being conflicted about houses. It's too early in the process for your interest to mean anything and they know it. But it will be good for you to have someone to verbalize these things to. You'll feel better and talking about it may help sort out your feelings. They can get in big trouble for violating your confidence.

And better your rho gamma than the other PNM's!!!!

They are there to help you and are strictly forbidden to have any contact whatsoever with their own house.

Hope you are having a great recruitment!

I completely agree with the above comments!
Rho Gams have gone through hours of training and preparation help YOU have a good recruitment! They are staying in hotels without their phones. They have been cut off from their sisters for the week! They are there for you and will not judge you based off your opinions, because everyone is entitled to their own. :)

Very sorry for what happened to you. This was terrible advice. It is never wise to suicide, quota additions for example. Just b/c you liked one over the other, which every one does, in reality, you were probably a better fit at #2 and would have probably really enjoyed it. Looking back on my own experience, I went for a "top" house and got it, but #2 would have been a better fit for me and I probably would have been happier there. I bet your gut/instincts were probably telling you suicide was not the right thing to do - learn from this, always trust your gut/instincts, not just with recruitment but with everything. Give yourself a few days to feel bad but pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back in there even if you don't feel like going through it again. This whole experience will build character and make you stronger. Go check out AXiD. You have an incredible opportunity with AXiD - national will be trying to recruit great girls and they will be making sure you're off to a great start. Hang in there.

I can't tell you how sad this makes me. Suicide is never a good idea.

If houses really are giving snap bids, you should talk to someone in Panhellenic. Tell them your story and maybe you can see about a snap bid. Worth a try but do it fast!!

Please stop giving this advice. Snap bids are given only if a house doesn't make quota and they want to add girls prior to Bid Day to get up to quota. Once bids are opened, no more snaps can be given.
