Would you be black listed for just being seen at parties? Like if you were visiting friends last year and went out with them is that bad?

for most top houses It probably will matter. but don't stress about it because there's nothing you can do about it now

Not just "top" houses care. No one will take a risk on someone who can make their house look bad.

You will see soon enough. Most houses are strict about their babies partying. Especially Pi Phi. You better not be caught at the bars or have pics online with a red cup in your hand. Your older sisters will tell on you. Girls in other chapters will tell your older sisters. Irresponsible partying not only looks ratchet, it can bring nationals down on your head. Showing up to party when still in high school was dumb. But I doubt anyone will remember you unless you did something really, really bad.

You rush in the spring or as a sophomore? Does that mean you can't go to parties first semester

To What if - It depends on the chapter. Each has slightly different rules. But DO NOT ask during rush!

You can go to any party you want. If you want to join the Greek system later just know that your actions can affect your recruitment. If you go out and have fun, look cute, and behave responsibly you will have no problem. If you are a sloppy drunk that sleeps around you will have a problem. It's common sense.

I know that for whatever reason it's off-putting when seniors go to greek parties specifically, as like a right of passage conflict, and I honestly have seen it been an issue before. Personally, I think that's just stupid and in my own opinion you're fine, but I know some houses have issues with it.
