sorority comments

No sorority at Tech hazes, end of story. If a girl is caught even attempting to 'haze' they are immediately kicked out of the sorority. Sorority Alumni attend initiation and big events like that so you can be pretty positive no hazing will happen. Don't let the thought of hazing decide whether you join one or not, it's all a myth.

Umm sorry but hazing DOES happen in pi phi! Ya'll can say what you want but I know several girls that were hazed as well as what they did. And to the person below....do you think they would be so stupid to haze at big events where alumni attend...umm no!

Hazing is anything that makes the pledges, or any member, feel uncomfortable. I don't know about you, but I would feel VERY uncomfortable if I was a pledge and actives were drunkenly yelling at me like that.

By those standards, Pi Phi hazed like crazy in that instance.

so how does the informal spring recruitment work? are there different rounds? or is there just one event?

ChiO- sweet girls who are intelligent, classy, and for the most part cute. very involved and very strong nationally as well as at tech. top tier/middle tier.

Kappa Delta- very diverse with a wide rang of girls. sweet, but at times they seem forgettable. good philanthropy. bottom tier.

Delta Gamma- a few good girls but for the most part the girls seem unclassy. take many girls who didnt get into other sororities. great nationally but at tech not so much. bottom tier.

Adpi- some sweet girls who are genuine. unfortunately the stereotypes of this sorority tend to be true. tend to take girls who generally wouldnt fit in other sororities. bottom tier.

Zeta- hot and fun, but tend to not be the classiest bunch. some can be stuck up and rude but for the most part they are nice. love to go out. a bit fake. top tier.

Tri Delt- try to portray a nice girl persona but they also love to go out and can be unclassy at times. beautiful southern girls. ok academics and philanthropy. top tier.

AXO- sometimes unheard of. a mix of very beautiful girls to not so much. not much to say about AXO. middle tier.

Theta- smart and sweet. some go out out but they tend to be more homey. compete with XO for a lot of girls. great nationally and at tech. lots of west texas girls. top tier.

Pi Phi- beautiful girls. love to go out but still remain classy. somewhat of a bad sisterhood, however. tend to be very fake. top tier.

Aphi- sweet and down to earth. great mix of girls who love to have fun while still remaining classy. tend to be the least dramatic of all the sororities. middle/top tier.

Kappa- rich girls. tend to be a bit fake and stuck up. classy when out for the most part. very pretty. top tier.

To all those going into spring rush. Pick a sorority that you like best and not based off ranking. A sorority thats top here might be bottom somewhere else. Plus the rankings are always changing but the girls that you pick to call your sisters will stay the same for the majority. Plus its kinda fun changing peoples perspective on your sorority to a more positive one.
