the houses are good at Tech...unlike some other schools

the chapters are so big at Tech that every group has every type of girl. ALL groups have beauties and not so beautiful girls, skinny girls and overweight girls, partiers and churchy girls. Go with the group that you click with the best. Any girl is lucky to get a bid from any group--many PNM's don't get bids from anyone.

probation: Kappa and Pi Phi. Directives: Tri Delt. That means no parties or formals! Not a lot of fun for sorority girls if you ask me.

It's all an opinion and like so many have said. Almost EVERY house has something great to offer. PNM will see what crap this site is when they go through rush. Those that are posting their personal ranking opinions are just that 'personal opinions'.. And the "FIJI" who ranked. HAHA Like really think a guy would do that. You girls are pathetic!
My "opinion" is that the more "total ratings" you have on your house, the more pathetic you are..Just goes to show how defensive you have to be. SOOOO..CHIO,ADPI,THETA,DDD pathetic.
PIPHI, KKG, APHI, AXO seems to be a lot more secure to not have to give in to this crap. GO TTU GREEK!

Facts: There are 11 NPC sororities at Texas Tech.

Personally I don't know everything about every sorority but here is what I do know-

Kappa Alpha Theta won the Founders Award at their Grand Convention, meaning they are the number one Theta chapter in the world. This is a HUGE honor.

Kappa Delta won the prestigious award of Panhellenic Chapter of the Year for 2011-2012 and raised the 11th highest amount of money for their charity at their National Convention out of 138 chapters--thats a big deal. They are the newest chapter on campus; however, this year will be their 25th anniversary. They are usually top 5 or 6 in grades.

Chi Omega has great alumni all over the USA, and a really awesome philanthropy--Make a Wish Foundation. They are usually in the top 3 for grades and consistently hold the title of homecoming queen with the exception of one year.

Kappa Kappa Gamma was #1 in grades Fall semester. They have a strong sisterhood and are the perfect balance of social and academics.

While some girls say the "top 6" stereotype at UT exists at TTU, all PNM's need to realize we are not UT. EVERY SORORITY AT TEXAS TECH IS AMAZING AND EACH OFFER SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES.

To the PNMs: Keep an open mind. Pay attention to what philanthropies you actually want to be involved in. BE GENUINE. If you pretend to be someone you aren't, you wont be happy or satisfied with the outcome. Ignore stereotypes. Don't talk about boys, partying, or religion--remember that each sorority has girls who party/attend church regularly/study a lot/are more quiet and shy/etc...one day you might be talking to a church girl then the next day to a party girl. Each sorority member wants to get to know you so dont be nervous! Open up to the girls you talk to, ask questions and act interested even if you aren't--chances are the girl you talk to has roommates that each belong to a different sorority, so do not ever talk down about another.

Top 6 is very outdated at UT. Dg, axo and adpi are also very strong at UT.
