Everyone knows that Pi Phi and Zeta are the ones the pnm's want going into fall recruitment. They have the best looking faces, top rep and recruit quite heavily from the top Dallas/Ft. Worth area Zip codes. Just a fact no matter how much everyone else denies it. They are the most selective and have the largest cuts, doesn't mean they are the "best" sorority just the most desirable going into the season.
Tri Delt and Kappa are the next dwn. Kappa is full of legacies, most coming from long traditions of Kappa, something Kappa is known for across the South. Though usually moneyed, from solid zip codes, your legacy status can play almost as important a part, thus they come across as "stuck up and judging" but the truth is they get lot's of pressure from mamma, grandma and auntie all sending in rec letters for their Kappa legacy, so lot's of times hands are tied before the season starts and this comes across bad to pnm's. Tri Delt is where many of the non Dallas/Ft. Worth money goes. You see the S.A., Houston, etc., girls here, as well as the occasional Metroplex girl, always pretty, with solid finances and connections.
Next group down, as seen from PNM going through recruitment, is Theta, APhi and Chi O, with the caveat that AXO has pretty much moved up to this level. Most of your normal, everyday, I was in or near top 10% and involved, live in a solid middle class subdivision somewhere in Dallas, Houston, S.A. etc. and my parents combined income is a little over 100K and I

Yet they have a very strong sisterhood and when ppl give them a chance they tend to find out they pretty much do fit in with the people around them.
Now after all that the real "rankings" though there are truly none are

I'm considered "pretty" want to be in one of these. These are their H.S. Friends, they aren't intimidated and feel these girls aren't above them, this is where you see the most crying, and drops from rush when they get cut from these houses.
Finally you have the last 3, They are all pretty close I would think it would be KD, then ADPI, and finally DG, though KD is on the verge of breaking into one of the middle areas.
These are the ones that girls get from lack of rec's, maybe not fitting in with the physical image or grade checks of the other sororities and not really being aware of what a competitive rush is like. KD is your middle class girl who is pretty, had solid grades, perhaps top 15-25% in large H.S. and though involved wasn't overwhelming in her leadership, you know the type was in Key club but only attended one meeting. DG has a number of legacies also, they are the rich girls, from the good zip codes, who weren't in the popular crowd. This comes across poorly for them because they have the rich girl attitude without the looks to pull it off. ADPI has a bad rep for being the reject sorority and tent talk gets around, though this is not true. They are sweet girls, usually from all over the state zip code wise, mostly lower middle to middle class, and highly involved with small groups of friends with similar interests, this hurts them when recruiting because they never developed the conversation and "bubbly" OMG type skills you need when talking to strangers,
