transfering to tech
by: sillyi saw a post that said if ur in some sororities at other schools and u try and transfer that they sometimes wont accept u. the reasoning of that post seemed alot more about wanting to be in a top house but if i genuinly wanted to transfer to texas tech bc its better for my major and im pretty, nice, and have good grades shld i worry too much that my sorority wont accept me. from a girl who goes to a very small school compared to texas tech. my sorority isnt a "top" house at all and idk if they actually look at ur schools greek rank and like see if it was bottom and then for that reason wont let u in. or if its more like ur weird and have a real reason they dont wanna take certain ppl.

Do you really think sororities use greekrank to make membership decisions? You need to get off here and find out your sorority's national policy on affiliation. If it's up to the individual chapter whether to take an affiliate or not, then reach out to the chapter president. The way the process should go is that the chapter will arrange to meet you somehow and see if you're a fit with their chapter. Each chapter at each school has their own vibe and personality and most don't have to take anyone they don't think is a good fit just for sharing letters, but as stated already, check your national's policy.

A lot of groups don’t just let you automatically transfer. It has nothing to do with the standing of your chapter in a gossip site. Read policies or talk to the exec charge of membership
