Transferring as a Sophomore

by: Lisa

Is it hard to rush as a sophomore transfer? I’m transferring from a big 10 school and would like to join a sorority

Don’t join a sorority here you can’t live in the houses. That’s like the whole point of sorority is to meet more girls. A lot of these houses have friend groups and don’t branch out at all✋

Yes! Do it!! It’s so much fun and you will meet so many girls! I have several friends who rushed as sophomores and WILL be rushing! Totally do it!

even if the rush process doesn't work out for u here I would still try it bc u will meet so many girls through it! and you won't be left wondering what would have happened if u don't do it and regret it !

It is hard. Many houses won’t take you because they want 4 years of money. The other issue is they don’t look at high school. They look at college. Most people have a higher high school gpa than college freshman year gpa. Not to mention you are usually involved in more activities in high school. That will possibly hurt you some because you’re competing with high school girls. But, it is a good experience just to meet people, especially if you don’t live on campus which most sophomores don’t. So give it a go and if it doesn’t work out, it’s okay.
