financial
by: helpSo I didn't grow up the richest but definitely not the poorest. I'm it anyways, ie lower middle class. My family never bought a house, we only Rented and my mom is in debt due to student loans. I plan on working this summer to pay for sorority fees if I get a bid. Do I have ANY chance of getting a Bid despite my mom's financial history? She isn't paying for any of it, I am.

It is important that you can meet the financial commitments but no one knows your family's situation. There are too many girls going through rush for them to research any of this.
I have several sisters that pay their own way through school and sorority. It's all good.

First off, "lower middle class" isn't that bad! Stop acting like you're living in a womens shelter and be appreciative. You may not own a house, but hey at least yall rent. You're not homeless! Tons of girls pay their own dues regardless of their financial background. No one is going to ask you anything about finances during recruitment and if the do, tell your rho gam because they are NOT supposed to. It doesn't matter how you pay em as long as you do and no one is going to judge you for how much money your mom makes.
