fall recruitment qs

Since being in a sorority is such a big commitment how do you know if it's really for you? My parents are completely against me going through recruitment but I feel like it's the right thing for me to do. How much does your first year in cost? How do you get letters or rec if don't know any Greek tech alumni? what are some basic (non biased) characteristics or some popular ttu sororities?
