Transfer GPA versus high school GPA

by: 😎

Do houses look at GPA differently if you’re a transfer versus Freshman out of high school? Is a 2.9 in college looked at differently than a 2.9 in high school?

2.9 GPA in college? wtf. That just tells us you never learned from getting a 2.9 in high school & you have no sorts of commitment or progress in life whatsoever. Good luck though!

They are looked at the same especially with a 2.9, as that is considered a low gpa. Some houses that aren’t that difficult to get a bid from don’t cut as much based on gpa though.

Actually, some universities don’t use a 90= 4.0 scale. So you can make all B’s at some places and have a 2. where at Tech it would be a 3.0 whether it’s an 80 or an 89. So, having a 2.9 in college is not like a 2.9 in high school. One class can mess you up in college. Maybe someone isn’t good at math? A 2.9, in high school however my indicate something in some people.
