You're wording is wrong and ignorant. There will "no longer be a pledge ship" for new members(let's see them pull that off). That doesn't mean we can't "pledge" people, it means the name for pledging will be changed and the new member process will greatly differ from that of the past. That being said, I greatly appreciate you going on to Greek rank to ignorantly post something that you know nothing about. This change is a huge blow to not only every SAE chapter across the nation but also to anyone else involved in a fraternity because I'm sure this change will be implemented elsewhere due to the independents views on our life styles. Society has changed but the traditions held by each and every different fraternity have not, and for the people on the outside causing this drastic measure to be taken, I hope you realize the detrimental effects that will be had due to your ignorance.

But they guy above you is right...there is not more pledgeship period, no new member period, nothing.
This is not just changing the name of pledging this is getting rid of it entirely.

SAE has 72 hours from the time a guy gets a bid to the time he must be made a full member.
