GPA? is it a deal breaker?
by: justlivinAs an incoming freshman was GPA do you need to join greek life? Can looks and personality carry you? Or is a low gpa going to come back a bite you?

This is the first thing houses cut for.
Many houses can’t initiate you unless you have a certain gpa.
The thought is, a house doesn’t want to waste a bid if you end up dropping/getting kicked out of college.
There are some houses that will accept lower gpa if the need to make quota.
Sometime girls who ended up without a bid due to grades end up with a snap bid if they check all the other boxes & nationals will allow initiation.

Not if you want to be in Pi Phi or Theta. They will only take you in consideration if you have 3.5 and above, or if you’re pretty & popular back in HS. Kappa cares more about your dad’s wallet, but they’re always #3 in grades so they also care about grades, but not as much as the top 2 sororities.
