the best advice to students looking to rush..

If you're on here to look up information on sororities because you want to rush, I suggest you just turn off your computer now. This is the worst possible place you could get information, first off and it's a terrible idea to look up sororities before you rush. Look them up nationally. Find out their philanthropy. Find ones that appeal to you. But DO NOT look for gossip on which sorority is the best or worst. Just go into rush with a clean slate. You're gonna end up where you belong and having certain expectations is never good. Don't get disappointed when you get a bid from a sorority you didn't want. Don't get disappointed when your pref cuts you. Just stop expecting things. Go through rush, meet the girls, experience the different chapters, and make a connection! Be proud to wear your letters no matter what they may be. Never let anything you read on here or hear around school make you ashamed of your chapter. Be happy where ever you are and don't worry what anyone thinks. Unless you're a member of the sorority, you honestly don't know as much about it as you think you do. You could love a "bottom tier" chapter and hate a "top tier" Don't feel pressured because of what other people say. I love tech, I love our Greek system, and I love my chapter. Anyone who joins will feel the same. <3
