Dropped my sorority
by: PnmHow often do girls get dropped from all of the sororities and what are the main reasons
#1by: unfortunate
The main reason girls get cut is because of grades. If you rush sophomore year and have below a 3.0 its going to limit your options to only 1-2 houses if your lucky. Even if you know girls in houses most automictically cut by GPA.
Truth is most girls with good grades that don't get a bid come in with a bad mindset. They only want a bid from 1 or 2 houses and don't even try at the others. They end up getting cut and than drop out of rush even though they would have found a good home at one of the other houses.
IMO every house but 2 ( I'm not going to name names but if you go to Tech or go though rush it will be obvious ) is honestly great in their own right. It's more important to be a part of well run chapter with people you enjoy than a 'top' chapter with people you hate.
If you have good grades and a good attitude you should have no problem finding a home with people that you enjoy.

I completely agree with everything above and want to add in addition to this is your reputation. I know a girl that went through recruitment last year that looked absolutely perfect on paper (meaning great grades, community and high school involvement, etc.) but her reputation got around and she was cut from all but one house.

Like I have seen on other posts, so called top 3 houses have recruitment down.
They will make you feel like they love you, you keep ranking them high, keep ranking middle houses low, then all you have is upper & they drop you.
Try to see through the fakeness. If one of those houses is for you, great, but don’t get caught up in the ego stroking you are about to get.
Return rates are important.
It gives houses more pnm’s to choose from.
