I’m a PNM and I am nervous bc I am a POC

After looking at all of the discussions just to get a feel, I am actually terrified to go through recruitment seeing all of the blatant racism in discussions. Should I be worried or are these people just trolls

Yes be worried ... or not. Just be yourself. It’s only geeds or people that aren’t in IFC/Panhellenic that stirs drama in here about color and race. No one cares about your skin color it that’s what you’re worried about. More people care about your personality and how you act around others. It doesn’t matter if you’re black, white, yellow, purple, or green; if you’re weird & creepy AF most likely you’ll have a hard time during recruitment. Again, be yourself. If they like you great, if they don’t then it’s their loss.

Do not be worried! Bring up your concerns with the sorority houses that you talk to. They are prepared for these kinds of questions. At the end of the day, the house that you can have these kinds of conversations with is the house anyone would be lucky to be in!
