What are Sorority dues?

by: Dues

Hi, I’m planning on rushing this coming fall and was wondering what the sororities dues are for each house since I’m going to have to pay for it on my own. I couldn’t find anything on the Panhellenic site about it and I don’t want to fall in love with a house I can’t afford. I’m a DG legacy so I’m particularly interested in what there’s are as I feel like that house would be the one I’m mostly likely to get a bid from.

If you type dues TTU Panhellenic they pop up. Anything top tier is expensive and you know it’s top tier by their house and the way they look. Anything bottom tier is going to be cheap.
ADPi, AXiD and Chi O are cheap by under the 1k mark. Everyone else is generally over 1k. Top tier is generally close to 1,500. Not Including The addition stuff they make you buy and they may raise dues. DG I know it’s over 1k I think 1,100? I hope you get into DG they’re a good sorority. Well liked and everything. But please when rushing know that it’s commitment And it’s expensive regardless of the dues. Your pledge semester will always be the most expensive. I normally recommend rushing in the spring since it’s cheap. I would since the rona.

Thank you I found it I guess I had trouble seeing it on my phone. The dues are a lot lower then I expected based on what my friend at UT told me to expect. I was think that kappa would be like 5 grand with the new house. It’s honestly such a relief knowing I won’t have to cross any house off before I meet them.

expect fall and spring dues total to be around $2500-3500. the top commend is misleading snd its not just $1500 for a whole year thats for a semester.

Also if you fall in love with the house know that they’re putting up a show for you to join and make them seem the most pleasing you. And listen to Greek ranksabout rumors since they’re generally right... I know it’s not NPC Or IFC friendly but honestly what is.
I would accept a bid from a sorority that has a lot of girls drop.

just to let you know, DG just nationally ended their legacy preferences. don’t go in set on them, there are 11 others that are just as great.

Word is dg dropping legacy status came from discussion with NPC and other houses may soon also follow.
Legacy never gave anyone in any house a guaranteed bid, but usually gave extra consideration at least.

I just know that being a legacy means that normally you are on there radar after you fill out the rush form. I have a good high school GPA and I feel like I look like a lot of the girls from there last PC. I want to keep as many options available that’s why I asked about dues so I wouldn’t get my hopes up for a house I couldn’t afford. I’m also realistic that I’m not a skinny blonde who’s super wealthy with a 4.0 so some houses are probably not super realistic for me.

Take a breath, everything will work out the way it’s suppose to be. I entered recruitment as a legacy and I too was worried about the cost. Please know that the girls are prepared to have conversations like this, I suggest talking about this on pref night. Whatever house you end up in, please know they are your sisters and will work with you!
