I was there too, but I dont remember much that happened @ the function but i do remember i only saw two guys go try to talk to him the rest were laughing and just looking

I'm rushing in the fall and was just wondering, is there anything specific/special the guys need to have during rush week? i.e. sports coat or anything for that matter?
And, i've been told that the 4 top fraternities are fiji, phi delt, delta tau delta & sigma nu... i'm sure this site is somewhat biased but any opinions on that? Also, one last note, the only thing discouraging me from going through with rush is being hazed. Any idea how horrible the hazing is? i would like to make a commitment to a fraternity but would like it to be for the right one...

no. just look nice during rush week, our appearance is going to be the FIRST thing everyone notices and no one is going to give a bid to someone who cant dress nice. A blazer/ sport coat is just like a staple in any young mans wardrobe. Dont worry about aht "top house" stuff. YOU WILL KNOW WHO IS TOP WHEN YOU TOUR THE HOUSE! And dont be so focused on that, get in where you fit in. whats the point of getting in a top house if you have nothing in common with the guys in the houses? BTW Sigma Nu are good guys, but they aren't top, upcoming though.

As for Hazing...every house does it. Some do little stuff to make you stronger and bond the pledges, others do cruel and fuc.ked up things just to be mean.

"No Tiers" has the right idea, 100%. add SAE and KA on there

i went to quite a few SAE parties last year and i never saw any of that. but then again..its a chapter with a lot of people there will be a few who dont get along. its like that for most big chapters
