In the fall formal recruitment is where pledge classes get the most kids. At least that's the way it is for the fraternities on Greek Circle with houses. Spring is usually a mix of formal and informal. But yeah fall formal rush is the way to go.

I'm going to Texas Tech this fall and have the same question as the previous poster about how difficult it is to get into a decent fraternity if you are out of state? Is there a strong preference for Texas guys? Will being from Kansas and not knowing anyone at Tech hurt my chances when i go through formal rush?

And what about being from a different country?

It shouldn't. It always helps to know some guys in the greek system but overall, being new and out of state should not hurt too much at all.

Y'all took one step forward with PC 10, and then 2 steps back with your tiny 25 person PC 11. Then another step back when you took a large Spring pledge class

How much of a time commitment is pledging a fraternity at Texas Tech? How many hours a week can I expect to put in? Will it take away alot of my study time?

If you ask which fraternity is easiest to get into, you are not looking for a fraternity. Join Paddle Tramps or something. Greek life is not for you.
