sorority recruitment
by: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯what are the chances of not getting a bid because i’m pretty poor ? i have a solid 3.0 that probs going to go up this semester but i’m going to be a junior in the fall. i also have no help from anyone (not really because i don’t have the help i just have pride in paying for everything by myself like rent and tuition). i also definitely grew up really poor but i still had everything i wanted (if that makes sense). idk i just want to be in a sorority lmao

It’s pretty simple. If you can’t pay your dues, you’re getting cut even as an active. Also, have your priorities straight. Are you active in any other organizations on campus? If you only have a 3.0 and you’re not doing anything else, you’ll have a hard time keeping up with Greek life. This community is very time consuming and you don’t want to risk your grades and financial responsibility if you’re already struggling. Some students go above and beyond and work a job or 2 to support themselves and keep up with their dues in their respective sororities. Once again, know where your priority is at this point, specially since you’re almost a Junior.

i get that. dues wouldn’t be a problem. my concern is that i won’t get a bid because i don’t have a background of having money as i grew up really poor. i’m really just chillin with a job right now and one other organization but hardly do much. i’m just trying to find somewhere where i may fit in. my first semester i was going though some really hard family issues and that’s what got it down. i’ve been picking it back up since.
