sorority rush and gpa

I am coming in with lots of philanthropy, all RIFs and recs in order, extra-curriculars, etc., but a 3.1 GPA. My GPA is low because I am weak in one subject not a bad student overall. Will anyone actually look at my transcript to see that? I've been told I'll be dropped from every house, that 3.3 is the minimum. Is this true?

Maybe for formal rush, but go informal rush and you’ll be fine. Gpa is bigger with sororities, unless your HS GPA was god awful lol. Who’d you have in mind?

Never mind lol, I didn’t realize your post was for soroities lmao.

But since I already responded, a 3.1 should be fine, you’ll prolly get cut by pi phi and theta, but that’s cause they’re always top in grades, idk about anyone else honestly, my gf is a KD and she had a 3.6 when she rushed, and some houses still cut her, so if it’s like fraternities at all, it’s based on if you’re a fit for the most part, with just a little more emphasis on grades.

Lol hopefully that gives you an idea, but I’m sure a PH sorority member will help you out.

yes grades are first cut for most house. you’ll be cut from pi phi and theta because grades are super important because they’re always top two in grades, and then kappa and chi o are strict on grades too. good luck
