fall rush for fraternities
by: Asking for a friendI have a friend who is going to Tech in the fall and he really wants to rush, but he doesn’t know anything about Tech frats. What houses does he have a chance of getting into without any connections, what’s an honest rank of the houses, and what summer Pre-rush parties/events are being thrown?

Connections aren’t necessarily that important. It helps but it’s not a decision maker (with sororities its more important) - formal rush gives everyone an equal chance to go around and get their name out. Speaking from experience, I went in not knowing anyone and got a bid from two different “top” houses. Might be worth checking the ttu ifc page, there might be contacts/numbers from people on exec in each chapter, not sure though.
