fall rush
by: GuestIs rushing really serious here, like other southern schools? Would it be hard for a transfer from CA to get into a decent house? ( girls not guys)

I transferred from out of state and honestly had a really hard time as both an older girl and not quite being familiar with the "trendy culture" in Texas yet. Some schools out of state also tend to have much higher standards for grading which unfortunately I don't think many girls here know to consider when looking at transfer students GPAs during recruitment. My GPA has been SIGNIFICANTLY higher since moving here.
It's just the hard truth that the south IS more materialistic than other places, and let's be honest, when you only have 15 minutes to impress someone, girls naturally will make judgements that could sometimes be unrealistic. So if I could give any advice to myself before, it would be to make sure you're looking at instagram hashtags and stuff to see what's hot (that's so dumb to say, but you can definitely do your research if you really wanna aim high) and put your best foot forward when it comes to your outfits and makeup and everything to make sure that they don't make unfair first judgements about you, but DEFINITELY make sure that you are still being 100% real when it comes to your personality and conversations with the girls to make sure that you do still end up somewhere that you will be comfortable and feel like you belong!
