is spring rush competitive?

I am a sophomore and only know one girl from several houses. What is the process for spring rush? Is it invite only?
Also, I do not attend ttu but attend a school that is similar and less than 10% is Greek at my school as well. I’m just asking here because I’ve been reading and the Greek girls here answer a lot more honest and don’t berate each other.

Are you saying do not reach out to random girls? For houses that I do not know anyone personally, can I just message near December time and ask if they’re participating in spring rush? I follow them but do not know them personally

@No! is confused. What she is saying applies to formal fall recruitment only. Spring bids are not from a recruitment organized by panhellenic, and it is solely up to individual chapters to offer bids, so reaching out to individual houses to express interest is certainly allowed and a great idea. Houses don't have to have events and can just offer bids quietly to a few girls they already know, so you do need to get on their radar. If you don't know any girls in a house you can start with the recruitment chair. But keep in mind that a house already at Total can't offer bids in spring. Good luck.

Unless you already know them do NOT reach out to girls. This is a major violation under Panhellenic (at least at TTU) and the chapter could get fined for dirty rushing and you kicked out of recruitment!
