I would say that some houses are more looks based (ZTA, AP) than others who are more connections based (PBP, DDD, KKG). All houses make decisions based on looks if they need to/if they have the option to. Like if they need a breaking factor between two otherwise "equal" PNMs they would probably choose the cuter girl. So I guess to answer your question I would say that "looks" houses will cut you for your appearance and for other houses your appearance will mostly just help you. I will say though that I am in a "top" house and we don't make outward comments to the chapter about the way a girl looks, it's more of an unspoken thing
