day 1 attire

I know they said Day 1 attire is a tech shirt and shorts. Do you think denim overalls would be okay or is that definitely a bad choice? And can they be a little frayed a bit?

oh nonono please just wear the shirt and shorts/skirt. NO DENIM. Cloth or envelope skirt would be cute. Please just stick to the dress code.

I think denim shorts are fine, but not overalls.
