I'm so nervous for recruitment...I feel like I've set myself up for success (good grades, recs, etc), but I've heard so many horror stories of rush just not working out for some people despite what they have going for them...how often does the computer system that does the mutual selection thing actually mess up? do all of the houses already have their pledge classes picked out?? if I haven't been reached out to by anyone is that bad?

Hey girl, I'm going to be rushing too!! I haven't been reached out to by any of the sororities. I know at UT they do that, but do they do that at Tech?

Houses here don’t contact you ahead of rush.
You will rank houses, houses select or cut you.
As far as “horror stories”, you may not get the house you think you want ( or deserve? Yeah that attitude can be seen a mile away & will get you cut quick) but you should be excited to get a bid from the house that wants you!
