SFA ties with Baylor. Like it or not. Very fratty for a mid-sized university. Sam Houston is ridiculous and TX State not much better.

I would also say Baylor and SFA's greek system are about tied because this is being rank by greek life. Not by population of school.

SFA is academically beyond ranking almost, they made it in the 70s on Western regional schools (by comparison, Texas State was mid-40s on that list). I've never heard of SFA's Greek system mentioned outside this site, whereas Baylor is a better known fairly wealthy private school, is ranked substantially better academically, and has a renowned Greek system with history (my parents and their Greek friends actually talk about Baylor when they mention their time in Texas Greek systems at various schools). Even Texas State has a better Greek system than SFA from what I've seen. There is no way SFA is on level with Baylor.

I agree with u SFA's greek life isnt as good as Baylor's but I would say its better than Texas State's

No one who lives on the OTHER side of Texas where all these schools are actually located agrees with you. I have lots of friends at SFA and it is an extremely fratty school. A great mid size, 15,000 or so students, option for those who couldn't get into TAMU or UT, but wanted a great Greek life. Or some, like several of my friends from Houston, who just wanted a school within a decent driving distance that wasn't huge...or private.The top members in their top Greek organizations could be in any top frat/sorority on any campus. My friends are gorgeous and smart(Tri Delt and Alpha Chi) and I have been to some Sigma Chi and Sig Tau parties that were amazing. Sam Houston is pitiful overall and I have some good friends at Texas State who are very fratty/sororityty but I still think SFA edges them out. It isn't as if SFA is populated by idiots. My friends that go there are smart.

I couldnt have said it better. I have some friends that go to SFA as well. They wanted to go to a smaller school than A&M and Tech and could have gotten in to both of those schools. I know a few Tri Delts, Sig Chis, and Phi Delts that go there. They are all great and could get into a top tier at Tech as well. I have gone to a Phi Delt and Sig Chi party and it they were actually a really good parties! Both of those fraternities had amazing houses that a top tier at Tech would have and have a lot of good looking guys! ;) Anyway I agree with you completely.

i think its goes like this
UT
Tech/SMU
TCU
the rest really dont matter
my reason's for tech being above TCU and even with SMU:
Tech has houses (lodges) they can party in, TCU has glorified dorms
While Tech does not have as much money as SMU kids, Tech's party's are much better
just my opinion but i think they're solid points

There are several good ones past those four. You can't really act like A&M or Baylor are no better than UTSA or UTD or wherever. TCU is supposed to get housing soon, so that could change. Tech probably has the second best parties after UT, but don't have as much money in the Greek system as UT, TCU, or SMU, so I guess it depends on what you're looking for.

Lower than what, 5? I can't think of anyone who I would put ahead of them past UT, SMU, TCU, and Tech. A&M's top chapters get kids from the same schools as UT's top chapters, and even their middle tier groups are solid. Baylor Greeks are enormous tryhards with no Greek housing or even improvised Greek living like TCU's, and they are probably the only ones who are even that close. Texas State has an alright Greek system overall, but the academic and monetary gulf between them and A&M is huge. As for SFA, allegedly it has an alright Greek system, but it's a third the size of Texas State and is ranked even lower academically. A&M is ranked just right.
