Now, onto facts.

Theta - Known for their smarts. Take in a lot of intelligent girls who are decently pretty and involved on campus. Recent pledge class was not that great, however. Still a strong house at Tech.

Kappa - Top house. Very pretty girls who excel in grades, however they are not too involved on campus and mainly keep to themselves and specific fraternities. Very exclusive. Known for money.

A Phi - Used to be a top 3 house about 25 years ago. They had a decline but in the past 5 years have been stepping it up again and its definitely showing. They are a Top 6 sorority and are known for their laid back, pretty girls that like to have fun. The one sorority that hangs out with many fraternities. Very sociable and highly involved on campus.

Thanks for the input everyone! It was mainly out of curiosity, my younger sister is going to tech in the fall and my two other sisters (along with myself) were in these three sororities. We are from the Midwest though, so we are obviously all so excited to see what she pledges, whether it's one of these three or not :) Good luck with recruitment, ladies!

We heard that actually! Sounds like Tech has a strong greek community, which is awesome! All of us went to big schools so we understand the large greek community experience, but we were mainly just curious about how our houses were at your school because we miss it ohh so much

not an aphi. my family has been greek and my mom and aunts were tri delts, a phis, and thetas here at Tech. They tell me exactly how it was back in the day.

I dont think they care about the petty stuff, just wanting to know about their houses.

All are great in their own way, girls! like @above said, tech isnt like other schools were certain houses are completely avoided. just being greek here is awesome.

Honestly, I think Tech has the best Greek system in the state. If you look at all the other GR pages of the major Texas Universities, you'll see so much hate and bashing--but you don't see that here with the sororities. We really all DO get along and support each other. We're all laid back and every house has a good sisterhood.
